The Collectieve Israel Actie (CIA) strives to improve daily life in Israel for all underprivileged and vulnerable people in Israel, disregarding their background.
We aim to realize this by offering a perspective of a better future to disadvantaged youth and by aiding weak communities. By raising funds for carefully selected and monitored projects, we can make a difference and have a positive impact in the lives and future of people in Israel.
At this moment, CIA is reshaping its strategy
To do this, we would like to know more about:
- The people and communities supporting us to do our work
- The people and communities that we support in Israel
Therefore, CIA is offering two internships. Preferred start: February 2020
1. Research and advise donor target groups
Most of CIA’s supporters come from Jewish and Christian communities in the Netherlands. We would like to know more about our current and potential donors, and we need to know if we can expand our current donor base within and possibly outside of these communities.
It is our assumption that we should be able to double the number of donors within two years’ time, and we need you to validate this assumption by investigating if, how and where we can do this. You will be doing research accordingly and write your recommendation to CIA. Being part of our team, you will also be asked to support with hands-on projects.
2. Research on poverty and disadvantaged communities in Israel
While developing our new strategy, we wish to deepen our knowledge of the problems we hope to solve. We need you to collect and review research, papers and other materials that show us:
- If we talk about disadvantaged and vulnerable communities in Israel, who are we talking about?
- How did they come to be in this position and what is/are the most effective ways to improve their futures?
- What can/should we do to prevent others to become vulnerable and disadvantaged?
Following your research, you will write a summary as well as recommendation the type of interventions and projects we should support in order to reach our goal. Being part of our team, you will also be asked to support with hands-on projects.
What to expect
|Your commitment||32-40 hours a week|
|Estimated time frame||3-5- months|
|Our offer||Travel allowance and modest intern fee|
